The Arch of Theodosios originally formed one of the entrances of the Forum of Theodosius. Instead of the usual pillars, bundled columns decorated as trunks of trees support the three arches, of which the both lateral ones may be later additions. A statue on the top of the main arch was probably lost already in the 6th century.
