This model of the historical peninsula is an adaptation of W. Müller-Wiener's map of Istanbul which is based on Société Anonyme Ottomane d'etudes et d'enterprises urbaines (Istanbul 1922). The shore line has been adjusted to show the ports as of year 1200. Eventuallly all models will be placed on this model as in the lower picture.
